Stock Correction

Stock corrections are an essential part of inventory management. They ensure that the stock in Stoqflow corresponds to the actual stock in the warehouse. There can be various reasons why a stock correction is necessary, such as incorrect picking, breakage, wrong receipt of an incoming order, or simply an error when entering the stock.

A stock correction can be started in several ways:

  • Via menu > Inventory Management
  • Via the product sheet of the product for which you want to correct the stock

After selecting the desired product by entering the SKU or name or by scanning a barcode, you will arrive at the following screen:

In detail

We'll go over the most important elements of a product item on the stock correction screen:

  1. Color Code: Each product item has a color code to quickly find what you're looking for. So:
    • items with a blue border are items on a pick location
    • items with a gray border are items on a bulk location
    • red items are blocked items
  2. Blocking: By blocking stock, you ensure that this stock can no longer be used for picking orders. This is handy when, for example, you have damaged stock that you don't want to send, or when you want to reserve stock for a specific customer.
  3. Quantity: The quantity of a given product item. In most cases, this is the number of items of a particular product on a particular location. It's possible to enter basic operations here, such as: 50-14 so that you don't have to do mental math or subtraction yourself.
  4. Mutation & Reservations: When changing the quantity of a product item, Stoqflow will display the mutation. This gives a clear overview of what exactly changed before clicking the "Save" button. Stoqflow also indicates whether there are reservations on this quantity.
  5. Quantity Helper Buttons: For small adjustments, it's often faster to use the helper buttons. So you can quickly add or remove items without having to enter the quantity each time. These helper buttons can also be pressed for a few seconds to quickly add or remove larger quantities.
  6. Location & Location Suggestions: The location of the product item, the place in the warehouse. The corresponding button can be used to quickly find another suitable location.
  7. Delete Product Item: To quickly delete the entire product item.
  8. Detailed Information: Fields for adjusting detailed information such as batch/lot number, expiration date or notes.

?> Finally, an optional reason for the correction can also be specified, handy to know later why you made the stock adjustment.
